WIT performs "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark"
August 31st and September 1st at 7:00pm
in Hanapepe at the Storybook TheatreWIT will be performing their last two performances of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" at the Storybook Theatre, in Hanapepe, Wednesday, August 31st and Thursday, September 1st. This will be the first LIVE theatre at the Storybook! Showtime is 7:00pm, tickets are $15 for adults and youth 15 and under, $5.
"Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" is an original play by Tim Kelly, first performed back in 1991-1992 at North. Kentucky University. It's a murder mystery spoof that we staged as a 1940's radio theatre production.
Stand by for the wackiest mystery spoof in years! Weird playwright Sebastian Sly, author of such bombs as Dial M for Morose and Ten Little Ninjas, lives in a creepy mansion. His arch enemy, the clever but snide drama critic Sylvia Frye, hates thrillers and has forced his retirement. Sebastian invites her to his home where all manner of mystery play chills and thrills are trotted out to convince her she's wrong about his work. There's a twist ending that will have you gasping in surprise. Don't miss with this award winning mystery by the author of The Butler Did It and Varney the Vampire. "A spoofy, spooky treat.... The laughs just kept coming." Gold Coast Reviewer.
